VARSITY

Varsity bounced back Friday evening by coming from behind to beat Westlake 2-1. The win is the Cavemen's third straight win over the Thunder.

The first half was scoreless, but the Cavemen and Thunder both had decent chances. The Cavemen had two chances fall to Eian Allen's feet as well as a set piece that went just over the bar from Miller Hall.

In the second half, the Thunder found the opener in the 57th minute, but the Cavemen kept pushing. In the 72nd minute, Nick Sharp found Eian Allen on the far post again, and he was able to finish and equalize for the Cavemen. Then, with two minutes left, Ethan Thomas received a pass from Nick Sharp and took a shot, which took a great deflection and spun over the top of the goalkeeper's fingertips. The Cavemen would go on to burn the final two minutes and take the win.
